A very warm welcome to our sixth annual Engage Awards ceremony, once again celebrating and highlighting achievement and success through the only customer and employee engagement Awards programme. The awards are back as both a live venue based event following on from the virtual ceremony in 2020 as well as this LIVE virtual stream – Welcome! It is absolutely fantastic to see the support and the number of guests that have been able to make it tonight both in person and virtually. We also can’t forget those joining us virtually from various locations both in the UK and globally, our events over the past 18 months have become more reliant on technology than ever before, this acceleration in adoption in new tech has created a number of new opportunities and enabled our events to be more inclusive and accessible than ever before.
This year’s Engage Awards have received an overwhelming number of entries across 19 categories, with our deserving finalists being selected by our esteemed panel of judges. It is our pleasure to report that the judges have mentioned the consistently high levels of excellence being demonstrated by our entrants and particularly our finalists. It is clear that organisations are developing winning customer and employee engagement strategies to achieve competitive advantage. This year more than ever has demonstrated the sheer determination and commitment of our fantastic industry professionals, shining a light on both organisations and individuals. Tonight’s glittering Awards ceremony is hosted by comedian Josh Widdicombe, known for his appearances on The Last Leg, Fighting Talk, Insert Name Here, Mock the Week and his BBC Three sitcom Josh. Of course, there will be only one overall winner announced in each of tonight’s Engage Awards categories, but it’s important to recognise that every finalist tonight is a winner in their own right.
